Chocolate Tarte

Ingredients

  • For the pastry:
    • 75g of plain flour
    • 70g of unsalted butter
  • For the filling:
    • 200ml of double cream
    • 120g of black chocolate
    • 2 bananas

Preparation

  • Pastry:
    • Sift the flour and the butter sliced in cubes together in a large recipient.
    • Add 2 or 3 table spoons of water
    • Mix it all together with your hands until it becomes a firm dough
    • Add water if necessary (not too much)
    • Let it rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes
    • Preheat the oven at 180°C
    • On a buttered flan dish, place the pastry and cook in the oven for 20 min (to make sure that the pastry does not raise, place some dried beans on top during the cooking)
  • Filling:
    • Cut the chocolate in little cubes in a saucepan
    • Pour the double cream on top and cook slowly until it melts fully

Once the pastry is cooked, cut slices of bananas and deposit them at the bottom (keep a few slices for decoration). Don’t forget to remove the beans, it might spoil the taste…

Pour the chocolate and cream on top and then add the rest of the bananas that were kept for decoration on top.

Let it cool for 2 or 3 hours in the fridge.
